Reviews
We got our dinner on GrubHub so I can't vouch for the restaurant itself, but our food was PHENOMENAL! Wow. I have never seen such an extensive sushi menu, honestly we were overwhelmed because everything sounded so good. Whatever we ended up picking (it's a bit of a blur) every bite was delicious and I can't wait to eat here again to try even more rolls. We loved the prices too!
My friend Linda told me about this place, and said how cheap the prices were. Normally 'cheap' and 'sushi' do not equal good. The presentation of the food is quite appealing, they aren't cheap on the size or cuts of the fish. Service are on the ball and attentive. Someone always around to check on us. For sure will be back and try many other rolls without breaking the bank.
I believe this is a "sister" restaurant from Yi Sushi Bistro off state street because the table menu looks VERY familiar! I actually like Mai Sushi a little better because the restaurant is more spacious and the dining area and bathrooms are freshly updated. The sashimi and nigiri are $1.25 each and the quality is amazing! There's a variety of dishes to choose from with soups, fried noodles, bento boxes, sushi rolls and of course the sushi boats! The veggie tempura was amazing! I didn't dip any in the sauce but made my own wasabi and soy sauce for dipping. The pork katsu bento box was delicious except I should have asked to separate the sauce. It was a bit sweet for me and it made the pork katsu a bit soggy. My sashimi was delicious and I'm definitely ordering more in the future!
Wanted to give this place a shot. Looked like a really good value price per roll, and seemed like reviews said it had good quality. The Flamingo and Fire Dragon were incredible. Definitely my two favorites of the 7 we tried. I also felt like the executive, samurai, and playboy were good options. Ended up not being the biggest fan of the Alaska or the Vegas personally, but may have just been my preference. Either way, I felt like it was a good experience, and next time I'll be getting the flamingo and Fire Dragon and a couple others to try out more of their menu!
